Press and Appearances

The Founder of this platform, Brooke Brimm, an author, yogi, and minister of Mind, Body, & Spirit believes that eating more plants is a means of connecting to the Spirit within.

For 30 years, the Brimms have been on a plant-dominant journey, which has included eating vegetarian, pescatarian, raw plant-based, and 100% plant-based. Brooke has been the primary chef in their home. She uses her knowledge of healing culinary arts and the techniques passed down to her from her vegetarian grandmother, to create vegan delights in her recipe guides, at live and online vegan cooking classes, and at women’s retreats and events.

About the founder

The brand is transition-friendly, encouraging, educational, and inspirational for those interested in eating and cooking vegan soul food.

We are not interested in whether our followers are 100% plant-based or if they classify themselves as Vegan. We want to encourage them to eat more and enjoy vegan foods.

The brand began as a food service provider for the Brooke Brimm retreats and grew through social media outlets such as Facebook communities, Instagram, Amazon Live-streaming, Youtube, and TikTok.

It currently provides inspiration to millions through social media, its email newsletter, in-person events, and online classes.

Vegan Soul Foodie has been featured  in The Grio, Yahoo News, Reckon South, The Kitchn, UnchainedTV, Black Southern Belle, and many other media outlets.
